The Michelin Guide's review
This valley is home to the Grand'Maison Dam, on the Eau-d'Olle. The dam, its 220ha reservoir and its plants are connected by a gallery over 7km long to the lower reservoir (75ha) and to the Verney Dam power station, to produce mixed gravity-pumped electricity. At the height of the dam, the tributary ravine of the Cochette opens out, offering a viewpoint from which you can see the peaks of the Cochette (Grandes Rousses Massif). The Grand Lac waterfalls cascade down the opposite side further upstream.
