Finished in 1986 and laid out on the model of a Suzhou garden during the Ming Dynasty (14-17C), this haven of peace and quiet is home to a profusion of pine trees, bamboos and flowering cherry and plum trees, set in a landscape of waterfalls, bridges and covered passages. Next-door to the garden is Dr Sun Yat-Sen Park, an equally tranquil sanctuary of greenery complete with a pretty lake.
