Calle Montiel Palace

Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
The palace is one of the best examples of the early Plateresque style, a style that became influential at the beginning of the 16C and owes its name to the delicacy of the decoration, reminiscent of silverwork (platero means silversmith). The badly damaged coats of arms on the façade seem to indicate that the owners upheld the Comuneros revolt that Charles V had to face.
