Well worth the diversions
Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
Resembling a large inverted bowl, this concert hall, named for Canadian media magnate Roy Thomson, was designed by Arthur Erickson. The home of the Toronto Symphony stands out by its architectural uniqueness and acoustic superiority. To ensure the best possible diffusion of sound, a wide circular passageway with entry doors at intervals creates a "sound lock". All the building materials used in the project were carefully and meticulously selected.
