The Michelin Guide's review
Consecrated in 1958, this Gothic Revival cathedral was built by Louis-Napoléon Audet, who also designed the basilica at Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. In the façade's principal stained-glass window is a crucifix by Montreal artist Cassini. Inside, the ceilings rise to over 20m/66ft high. The large stained-glass windows, by Raphaël Lardeur and Gérard Brassard, portray Biblical scenes. To the left of the altar is a striking oak statue of the Virgin Mary by 20C artist Sylvia Daoust.
