At the end of 2013, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) opened its doors to the public in a space commensurate with its importance. A resources centre, workshops, theatre and galleries fill the four floors of this museum designed in a pared-down style. The temporary exhibitions are impressive in number and their eclectism. A contemporary artist regularly puts on performances in the outer garden.
