Not far from downtown San Diego, this pedestrianised waterfront village, level with Fish Harbor Pier, is dotted with colourful wooden houses set out around three verdant squares, which are home to around twenty restaurants and sixty stores. A pleasant place for a stroll with the sea as a backdrop, the area is particularly busy at the weekends, when jazz and rock bands play live music on East Plaza, prompting some of the regulars to get up and dance!
