Saint-Martin-de-Gurson church

Religious monument
The Michelin Guide's review
The church boasts a fine Saintonge-style façade (12C). The doorway has no tympanum but four rounded arches resting on eight columns, the capitals of which are sculpted with birds and monsters. Above the doorway, there are seven arcatures with columns, running along the top of which is a moulding decorated with heads. These are bordered by an interesting cornice with sculpted modillions.
