Arpoador is an area located between Ipanema and Copacabana. With its beautiful sunsets, it is indisputably one of the places to be in Rio when night falls. It is on this section of the beach that the sun's rays linger the longest before disappearing into the ocean or between the Morro Dois Irmãos, the twin rocky peaks. The sunset is best seen from the rocky tip or the terrace of the Arpoador Inn. A little more remote is Devil's Beach (Praia do Diabo), Rio's best spot for surfing. Proficient surfers only.
