The elegant Church of St Nicholas (14C-early 16C) stands on the main square of Prešov. Its most precious feature is the Baroque altar dating from 1696. The imposing organ (1634), one of the largest in Slovakia, is the church's pride and joy. The 66m-tall neo-Gothic bell tower was erected in the early 20C.
