The Michelin Guide's review
This was probably a heroon, a kind of cenotaph devoted to the cult of the city's founder deified after his death. Many objects (vases, painted tombs etc) have been discovered here and are now exhibited in the museum. It's interesting to note that traces of two-thousand-year-old honey were found in some of the vases.
