Among the masterpieces by Salzillo is an amazing nativity scene with 556 terracotta figurines, where the artist depicted, with a remarkable anecdotal sense, the life of peasants from his day. Note the eight pasos (groups of sculptures) used during Good Friday processions, positioned around the round nave of the church. Admire the emotion in the faces of these almost life-like figures and the majesty of the polychrome wooden sculptures.
