Spread over 5ha/12 acres, the park features two horticultural gardens linked by an underground rockery. It was designed in 1851 by Adolphe Alphand, who worked with Haussmann and later became the landscape gardener of Parisian Buttes-Chaumont, Montsouris and the Bois de Boulogne.
