At 1,264m/4,147ft, the Col du Minier, emblematic of the Aigual range, commands fine views over the southern Cévennes mountains. A monument commemorates General Huntziger and his companions, killed in an air crash in November 1941. A path not far away leads to Pises lake, while the descent from the Minier pass to the Arre valley is truly breath-taking.
