From Königswinter, take the cable car up to the Drachenfels, where Siegfried, hero of the Nibelungen, supposedly vanquished the dragon, then bathed in its blood and became invulnerable. The vast panorama embraces the Westerwald and Eifel plateau, Bad Godesberg, Bonn and finally Cologne.
