Thirty kilometres or so from Karakol, Jeti-Oguz is the ideal site for easy-level hiking or horse-riding. Let your imagination run wild as you make for the red cliffs overlooking a verdant valley and shaded pine forests. Along the way you will encounter nomadic herdsmen, apparatchiks on holiday and travellers opting to get off the beaten track. The hot springs are just the ticket to perk you up at the end of the day.
