This very handsome moated castle was built on its hilltop in the late 12C or early 13C, then remodelled in the 15C and 16C. It presents four wings with three circular corner towers. Having long been owned by the noble Palffy family, it is now the property of Count Kinsky, who lives here year round. The rooms open to the public are furnished with pieces from the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods.
