This museum, which occupies a former convent built in the 16C, houses a large archaeological collection (Museu Arqueológico Lapidar do Infante Dom Henrique), divided among the galleries of the fine Renaissance cloister. A room on the first floor presents a collection of 16C-19C paintings. Temporary exhibitions and, on some summer evenings, concerts (classical music, jazz, fado etc).
