The church is in an area populated by the people of Navarre in the late 12C and the narrow streets have retained that medieval character. Its north doorway comprises two high reliefs, a masterpiece of Romanesque sculpture. The first scene portrays St Michael slaying the Dragon, and the second, on the right, the three Marys at the Sepulchre.
