The Michelin Guide's review
This is one of the oldest Mendicant Order churches in Austria. It was built by the Franciscans, still called Minorite Brothers, in 1276, which accounts for its most sober style, except for the beautifully-carved aisle keystones. The adjacent Wallseerkapelle, with majestically-fine columns and ribs, is a reminder of the powerful Walsee family who came to Austria with the Habsburgs.
