Schloss Falkenlust

Well worth the diversions
Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
This delightful Rococo castle, built by François de Cuvilliés between 1729 and 1737, was the hunting lodge of prince-elector Clemens August. The two-storey building, perfectly symmetrical in design, is crowned by a belvedere. In addition to the salon reserved for hunting parties and the ornate dining room, it is also worth visiting the castle's remarkable studies adorned with lacquerwork and mirrors.
