The Michelin Guide's review
This museum's extremely diverse collections give a remarkable perspective on the history of Ulster and its capital. The fine arts section includes works by Turner, Reynolds and Roderic O'Connor. After its decorative arts exhibits and fine jewellery, glassware and silverware collections, the museum turns its focus to the history of Ireland from prehistory to the present day. The Treasure of the Invincible Armada, which was recovered off the Irish coast, is particularly impressive.
