The Michelin Guide's review
Stop at the Pass of Bavella (1 218m) and admire the Aiguilles (needles) de Bavella, also known as the Cornes d'Asinao (horns of Asinao). The jagged peaks emerge from the forest, changing colour in a spectacular stark setting of laricio pine trees and sheer rock walls. Behind the Aiguilles, it is possible to make out the Incudine mountain range. To the east rises the sheer rock face of the Calanca Murata and the red ridge of the Punta Tafonata di i Paliri with the Tyrrhenian sea in the distance.
