The Michelin Guide's review
Crowning a hill scorched by the sun, the monumental Larissa Kastro has lost nothing of its swagger despite the ravages of time. Built in the 10C by the Byzantines with the materials of an ancient acropolis, it was altered several times by the Venetians and Ottomans. If you opt not to walk around the two fortified walls that encircle the small church (in ruins), do at least take in the panoramic view over Argos and the citadel at Nafplio.
