The Michelin Guide's review
The Planches steephead valley is the highest such valley in the Jura, creating a magnificent rocky theatre of limestone erosion. This dead-end valley, whose sides are some 245m/803ft high, is the setting of several waterfalls, like the Tufs falls, fed by the Cuisance which emerges from the Planches grotto. Several hiking trails command exceptional views of this landscape, such as the Fer à Cheval crater viewpoint.
