Built at the end of the 19C by Swedish writer and doctor Axel Munthe, who described its atmosphere in his famous book The Story of San Michele, this villa is decorated with furniture from the 17C and 18C, copies of ancient works and some original Roman sculpture. The garden ends at a pergola perched right above the sea. The panoramic view of Capri and Marina Grande, Monte Tiberio and the Faraglioni is superb.
