The Manuscripts Museum exhibits an incredible array of treasures from Alexandria's library, which are displayed on rotation. A few rare pieces remain, however, such as the facsimile of a roll fragment from the ancient library discovered in a tomb in El Fayum, the original of which is in Austria. Visitors can also admire two large embroideries from the Kaaba in Mecca.
