The Michelin Guide's review
Despite the whimsical reference to one of La Fontaine’s parables (The ant and the grasshopper), this restaurant is the antithesis of scarcity in terms of fine produce! Discerning local food lovers flock here to sample big-boned Gallic staples (7-hour shoulder of lamb, served with gravy, mashed potatoes and olives and a gutsy ratatouille garnish). The pedigree lineup of French family favourites is occasionally jazzed up with the odd more contemporary note. Friendly vibe and a lunch set menu at unbeatable value.
