This handsome country restaurant strikes a tasteful balance between authentic rural charm (terracotta tiles and beams) and modern comfort. Two sisters oversee proceedings front of house while their partners enthusiastically deliver finely crafted, colourful dishes that win diners over with a combination of creativity and tradition: blue lobster and pea tartlet, sabayon bisque; matured squab, barbecued courgettes and pollen vinaigrette; panna cotta and meadowsweet ice cream, strawberry coulis. The menu changes regularly.
