Church of San Pietro Martire
Michelin Guide
Religious monument
The Michelin Guide's review
Rebuilt in the Renaissance, this church holds its own against the churches of Venice thanks to its fine works of art, notably by Veronese, Tintoretto and Bellini (Barbarigo altarpiece, right aisle). The façade's Renaissance doorway opens on to the small square next to the fondamenta and is crowned with a large stained-glass window made from small circular pieces of glass which are typical of the island.
