The Michelin Guide's review
Dwarfed by sheer rock faces, these gorges, which are quite gentle as far as St‑Guilhem-le-Désert, grow ever narrower up until the Diable bridge. The Hérault carves out a canyon in the bottom of the valley between whose steep sides it runs. Here and there are little terraces banked up by dry walls are home to a few rows of vines, a small meadow or an olive grove clinging above the river, which are the only crops.
