Marinid sultan Abu al-Hassan ordered the construction of this graceful Hispano-Moorish madrasa in 1333. A flight of steps leads up the remarkable gate, which in turn opens into the magnificent small courtyard decked out in harmonious colours. The exuberant white of the stucco on the walls creates broad and varied surfaces that the light clings to. The terrace affords views over all of Rabat and Salé.
