The School of Naval and Tropical Medicine, founded in 1722, was the first in the world. The current building dates from the late 18C, and has a chapel with a bell. You can visit the library (25 000 books) and peruse the anatomy, zoology, surgery (over 600 instruments) and natural history collections.
