The Michelin Guide's review
The Powder Tower, built in the mid-13C, quickly lost its defensive function. Partly destroyed by the Prussians in 1757, it was renovated in 1875; the many modifications by Josef Mocker gave it the Neo-Gothic look it now has, particularly the roof that evokes the spires of Our Lady before Týn. From the top there is a fine panorama over the city. An exhibition on the 2nd floor presents the different towers in Prague, from the 12C to the TV tower.
