Pistoia Cathedral of St Zeno

Religious monument
The Michelin Guide's review
The marble dressed facade brings together a sober Pisa Romanesque style and a Florentine Renaissance style. The curious campanile is a veritable thesaurus of styles which is all its own! Inside, the Baroque chancel covered in gilding contrasts with the Romanesque naves in a very spare style. You must see altar of St James , a masterpiece of the Goldsmiths art on which 628 people have counted! In another chapel there is an attractive Virgin in Majesty by Lorenzo di Credi.
