The Michelin Guide's review
The Fontaine des Innocents is a Renaissance masterpiece designed by Pierre Lescot and sculpted by Jean Goujon; it originally stood at the corner of rue Saint-Denis and rue Berger, above the cemetery known as the Cimetière des Sts-Innocents, but was moved to its current location in 1786. The fountain was arranged on a square pedestal, with Pajou adding the fourth side, Peace, a replica of the work by Goujon.
