This is the only fortified perimeter wall - complete with a number of fortified gates - in Germany that is still fully intact and accessible. You can walk around the rampart walkway with its 11 defensive towers, the most noteworthy of which are located between the Berger Tor, the Alte Bastei (Old Bastion) and the Reimlinger Tor.
