Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
The gabled façade of the late-14C town hall is a wonderful work of Gothic civil architecture. It is decorated with fine tracery and pinnacles. The Peace Hall, with its lovely wood panelling, dates from the second half of the 12C and was the scene of the proclamation of peace between Spain and the Netherlands in 1648, which led to the Treaties of Westphalia.
