At the junction of Holland Street and Gordon Place, the Elephant & Castle is a pub worth visiting for its peaceful location. Opposite is a pleasant no-through road bordered by rose trees which in summer form an overarching bower, and lovely houses that seek to outdo each other in beauty. One could almost be in the country!
