The Michelin Guide's review
The three huge buildings more commonly referred to as "the three graces" illuminate the city's waterfront: the Port of Liverpool Building with its verdigris dome, built in 1907, and the neighbouring Cunard Building (1913) and Royal Liver Building (1908), the latter with its famous Liver Birds crowning its domes, the best-known symbols of Liverpool, even more so than its cathedrals.
