Well worth the diversions

The Michelin Guide's review
Carrantuohill is the highest peak in the country (1 038m). The steepness of the slope, the rocky chaos and the damp, peaty soil make for a challenging climb, but the panoramic views from the highest point in Ireland are well worth the effort.
