The heart of the park is a high alpine reservoir fed by five sapphire-coloured lakes, known collectively as the Cathedral Lakes, one of the oldest hiking sites of the province. Well-maintained ridgeline trails take the visitor well above the timberline into flower-strewn alpine meadows.
