The Michelin Guide's review
If Wong Tai Sin Temple is characterised by crowds and noise, Chin Lin Nunnery is a haven of Zen-like simplicity and meditation. The latter, superbly restored, was built in the Tang style, which was taken up by the Japanese. The smiling Buddhas are in a setting whose every detail inspires serenity: pools adorned with lotus flowers, noble architecture, the gentle tinkling of bells, and birds singing in the bougainvillea. Round off your visit with a meal in the vegetarian restaurant.
