Do not miss this small Confucian academy (1572), a calm and serene place on the sandy banks of the Nakdong River, facing a cliff and set amid flowers. The reading room alone is worth the detour: note its complex structure and unusual dimensions (30m long); 200 people can meditate here. The building seems to float above the irregular wooden pillars that support it. The rest of the complex houses the colourfully decorated hall of worship.
