The Michelin Guide's review
Around 60 paintings by Charles M. Russell and Frederic Remington (the latter known best for his bronze sculptures) are on display in the Sid Richardson Museum. Exhibits include Russell's Returning to Camp (1901) and The Tenderfoot (1900), both of which offer a light-hearted view of the urban East meeting the rugged West. The paintings were the personal collection of billionaire oilman Sid W. Richardson (1891-1959). The museum is a good complement to the Amon Carter Museum for American art enthusiasts.
