The Michelin Guide's review
This castle, topping a sheer cliff overlooking the Meuse, is said to have been built by the four Aymon brothers. It was one of William de La Marck's dens in the 15C and rebuilt in brick and freestone in the early 18C. The interior is adorned with fine 18C furnishings. Note the stairwell's trompe-l'oeil frescoes, reproducing the architecture of an Italian palace. The kitchen's Delft tiles have over 1 000 patterns.
