Today, Dalkey forms part of Dún Laoghaire. In the past, it boasted seven fortified buildings, of which only three remain, from the 15-16C: Bulloch Castle (closed to the public) overlooks the small fishing port in the north, Archbold's Castle is now the Town Hall and Goat Castle, which houses Dalkey Heritage Center.
