Housed inside a superb Art Deco building, the Museum of Art and Cultural History displays several collections encompassing a variety of different subjects, including prehistoric and ancient archaeology, religious art in the late Middle Ages, 19C paintings, decorative art and furniture. The highlight of the museum is the Dortmund Treasure, a collection of 444 gold coins, most of which date from the 4C AD.
