The Michelin Guide's review
Named after its former owner, the 1814 governor of Cuzco, Casa Concha reopened its doors after four years of restoration work, a full 100 years after Hiram Bingham discovered the site of Machu Picchu. The remarkable exhibition in this superb colonial residence showcases relics of the citadel. There is much to admire: both the beauty of the artefacts on display (chosen out of the 47 000 that were discovered) and the educational and scientific explanations alongside them (in English).
