Located within the confines of the city's botanical garden, this completely renovated museum reopened its doors in 2019. Its superb displays, complete with sound effects, provide an insight into the flora and fauna of Aquitaine's coastline. Display cabinets teeming with specimens listed by continent highlight "nature as viewed by Man". They also showcase the principles by which species are classified and the influence of humankind on nature. Scientific staff are on hand in the museum's exhibition rooms to answer any questions visitors may have.
